Come find out why ballet is used as foundation for so many types of dance and what it can do to help you... This class will introduce basic ballet exercises that can help with balance, flexibility, body lines, turns and so much more. Dancers will work at the barre and in the center to learn ballet terms and technique. We will also delve into how to apply this new-found knowledge to bellydance and integrate ballet as cross training.
All levels/styles are welcome. No ballet experience is required. Ballet slippers or flexible dance shoes are requested if possible (socks will do in a pinch). Please wear close fitting clothing that allows range of movement and your form to be seen.
