August 30th Master Class Workshops with Emily
Two classes back to back for a whole day of dance! This master class will focus on a mixture of dance training including cardio, strength, and flexibility... Along with versatility, stylizations and choreography. Single classes optional or both for a discount. Some bellydance experience is expected, all levels are welcome.
The fine print: No refunds, credits, transfers or IOUs. Pre-registration is required by 8/26/15 for the discount. If a student can not attend a class they may give or sell it to someone else at their discretion. Emily is not responsible for unattended classes.

Strength, Drills and Flexibility: Booty Camp & Hip Work
This morning class will focus on strength, flexibility... And strong, juicy hip work! Wake up your whole body with some dynamic stretching and cardio to warm up. Then we'll be primarily focusing on the lower body, working from toes to booty to build a strong, balanced foundation. After warm up and conditioning we'll work on hip isolation technique, building dynamic dance drills, floor patterns, and more. The last portion of the class will be an extended stretch session! We'll work specifically on lower body flexibility to give some love to those tight areas we use so much in bellydance. Socks/knee pads are optional for the stretching section.
Feel free to bring a lunch to eat in the studio if you wish. There is also a park across the street and The Roasting Company, Food Co-op, Ruby's and Cafe 116 are all nearby.

Dance, Drills, Combinations & Choreography: Contemporary Bellydance
Afternoon class will be all dance! We'll have a shorty warm up and jump right in to building the morning drills into combos, traveling across the floor, personal stylization and finally learning a choreography with plenty of room to embellish. We'll be working with several bellydance styles as well as fusion, working on our musicality and stage expression. We'll chat about improvisation and performing as well. Class ends with a short cool down and full body stretch.
